[3DO Opera] The Need For Speed. Boot error 'NVRAM Full: Config..'

When loading The Need For Speed on on the emulator ‘The 3DO Company 3DO (Opera)’ on bootup I get this error ‘NVRAM Full: Configuration not saved!’?

I can’t seem to get passed this error screen. I’ve got the bios files, two other games I have work so it’s something specific to this game? I tried playing around with the core options but couldn’t find a way around it.

Just to update I played around with different core options including BIOS (rom1), VDLP Pixel Format and Memory Capacity. It works now but I’m not sure what exactly did it.

Could you indicate all your settings (or at least the ones you know you touched). I’m having this exact same issue with NFS, and I’ve tried changing all of these settings to no avail so far.

I figured this out and created an account here to post my solution. Go to core options, and change BIOS (rom1) from “Panasonic FZ-1 (U)” to “Panasonic FZ-10 (E) ANVIL”

Just wanted to add my own update regarding this.

I had the same issue recently upon loading 3DO Need For Speed.

Upon updating the core however the problem went away and the game booted and played fine (with the default Panasonic FZ-1 (U) bios as well). So the issue must have been fixed in the core sometimes in the last 12 months or so I guess.

If you’re unable to update the core for some reason, maybe try changing the ‘NVRAM version’ option in the core’s option. But other than that your best bet is to just update to the latest Opera core version.
