4DO and Jaguar cores are still bad

Even though they have been updated several times, according to buildbot. Crash & Burn on 4DO still does that loop thing in the beginning making the game unplayable and Rayman still crashes on Jaguar. These games work fine on older versions of the cores or the standalone versions. Is this an error of the buildbot? i didn’t notice any improvement after these cores were updated.

I don’t think it’s a buildbot issue, as the Rayman crash happens with self-compiled cores, as well. We’ve had other things we’re working on, but if you can pinpoint the commit that broke things, or even better the actual line of code, we can try to do something about it. Otherwise, you’ll just have to use an older build and/or wait until one of us finds the time/motivation to go through that debugging/bisecting process ourselves.

Well, the only information i have is that the core i use that loads Rayman properly has a 23/3/2016 date. I’m not sure about 4DO though since i only have the latest version.

I looked into the virtual jaguar issue some more and the last working commit was back in August of 2015. There was another issue that broke it even more later on, though, so we’ll have to figure out what to do about all of that.
