4k verical Bezel (ArsInvictus and OrionsAngel Style)

Ugh, that’s painful to hear. This cab is probably in my top 5 cabs as far as looks go. I would have killed myself. Well here they are.

Shit, I could only imagine how bad that must feel. And now knowing how things are. Wish I started a collection years ago. I’ll see what I can do about getting the button look. Dreamstate’s ref seems a bit strong, I’ll tone it down a bit and do some more research on this.

Something like these

Thanks, Guys, I was gutted at the time - I kept them for a while to repair but the wood blew out and the bottoms turned to sawdust :disappointed:

I did a really quick button (very loosly) based on your ref before I saw you had worked on it @Dreamstate, your welcome to use this if you like @Briball but equally throw it in the trash if you want to do something else :relaxed:

Very slick. I actually like the way mine look better… remarkably. I’m currently working on the deflect button as in the original it looks like the contrast on it is completely blown out for some reason. I’m going to have to get some reference on that.

Oops, I shared the wrong ones! Pleased you feel yours look remarkably better , that’s the beauty of being able to tweak these to our own tastes! :sunglasses: they do look good! Mine only took a few minutes so nothing wasted! - here are the ones I meant to post just for ref sake - have a good evening @Dreamstate!

LOL it’s amazing just how versatile 3D modeling programs are. That looks remarkable. I"m going for a darker theme on mine and trying to get rid of all the light coming from the player side. Trying to get that look you get when inside the environmental cab and just the light of the cab illuminating everything.

I know what you mean, these where actualy hand painted in photoshop - my PC is chugging throuh a massive render que so doodeling on my macbook! (with a graphiocs tablet) - I can see the changes you made to the light there - think you’ve got that look down from what I can see

Yeah, for this one, though most of the CPO’s are a mixture of renders and painting/hand finish (75/25) as it’s hard to get what you want straight out of the render alone! – really need to get my VR set up again so I can jump into something while I wait for this stuff!

ok, did my take on those glow buttons, so here it is. And i liked the darker deflect button that @Dreamstate was playing with.

They look great! A nice diffused glow - so many options on the Overlay now

Well I am keeping it to this, but if anyone wants a different version they can DM me.

I’m not at my work pc now, but can send you the original source but it’s huge so you can get it from my Google drive. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-tGXu5xjWc27bYOrPDayEvSR_KY5ppP9/view?usp=drivesdk. I got this from Arsinvictus on his visit to GG.

But the effect is from the reflection. Seen in many ref photo’s.

Beautiful. Thanks. If only that photo would have been taken in the dark. I’m going to try to go the opposite route and put more reflection in rather than trying to take it out. Might work better. Thanks. Edit: More reflection did the trick. Looks much better now! Decided to scrap my original completely and go fresh with Papashines image. Been experimenting with the top of the cpo.

There are some things I like what you have done, but I am going to leave mine now as it is. I am sure I’ll get back to it soon enough. As you said it’s never really done.

This was a big deal for me since it’s such a classic from my youth and it’s black light lit. I’m obviously really into that alone but when it comes to something I really enjoyed playing this is something I have to see through till I’m satisfied. I’m pretty much almost there. A little bit of clean up on the bottom right and maybe the addition of a few small things like screws at the top, something I’ve never tackled, and I’m done. It’s so crazy to look at this and switch back to the photo you started with. I’m in awe of what you did to get It to where you did. I wouldn’t have the first clue how to begin. Screws added and lots of touch up still ongoing.

Same for me, loved this game as a kid and spent many a guilder in it and Tron got me into 3d to begin with. Trying to do 3d on a zx spectrum is no joke. I believe it was VU3d or something haha, memory flash back.

Anyway you are the blacklight king, this was my first jump into getting the blacklight effect. And there are a few more things I will update, but sometimes it’s good to step back a bit. And want to get started on my next cab soon, don’t have as much time to do these as I would like.
