Thanks! Honestly using Orionangels bezel sorta set the tone for proper fit for the rest. I will likey make some touch ups. I am new to warping textures. This version is more like a seated version of the cab. I plan on doing an upright next. Probably will look a bit cleaner.
Daytona Upright version
Did lots of clean up on this compared to the original. I think I like how this one turn out better than the first. I will probably put out one more version of the sit down cab with the cleaner assets. I found some clear pedal assets I think I can utilize next.
Daytona Sit-down version (Clean)
Cool! So here is the last one for the Daytona vertical overlay. This is an alternate version of the original sit-down I uploaded. It has the frame with T-molding all the way to the floor. I used some cleaner assets all around for this one. If anyone sees something they think needs tweaked, let me know.
Daytona Twin version Sit-down with coin door
Seriously last one… Twin version for this cab has a coindoor to the bottom left added. The speakers below the marquee have also been removed. This allowed more space for the pedals. I suppose this is more accurate to a real Twin arcade Daytona cab.
Virtua Racing Deluxe
Virtua Racing is Sega’s first ever 3D, polygon-based racing game. The game consists of racing Formula-1-looking cars around a beginner, intermediate, or expert track, competing against a second player or computer drivers. Despite having Formula-1 cars, the game controls are very “arcadey” and players can see the leap they made from here to Daytona. The Megadrive/Genesis version of Virtua Racing is of note as it is the only game for the system which features the SVP chip (Sega Virtua Processor). The chip is a 3D processor built into each cartridge (the console itself had limited 3D capability) and is very similar to the SNES’s SuperFX chips, used in games such as Starfox and Stunt Race FX.
This cabinet used a 16:9 CRT. You may want to also switch your aspect ratio to match 16:9. You can still use 3:4 and just stretch you bezel assuming you use megabezel. I am using megabezel in 16:9 for the screenshot below.
Some final touches to control panel buttons, view buttons, LED display. Sprry for multiple uploads. Seems like the window to edit posts is very limited.
Outrun (SEGA/1986)
Is an arcade driving video game. It is known for its pioneering hardware and graphics, nonlinear gameplay, a selectable soundtrack with music composed by Hiroshi Kawaguchi, and the hydraulic motion simulator deluxe arcade cabinet.
Looks fantastic! Love your work!
Ars and Darkland — Thanks so much for SnowBros. Had a blast playing on MAME last night
Hi, I’am quite new to the vertical world… Thanks to share these beauty… Someone can work on these games:
-The new zeland story -Liquid Kids -Soccer superstar -Versus net soccer
I will share my first creation related to my preferred arcade game: Cadash
I’m just finishing up a SNES Kiosk and my own personal bedroom from when I was in my early teens. I will likely share these soon if anyone would like them.
I’m still trying to locate some high res art sources for the SNES kiosk instruction panels, but I may just end up doing them from scratch.
OH and the plan is to somehow get the cartridges in each console to reflect the game you are emulating in Mame / Retroarch. So more to come on that idea later.
Thanks for sharing Cadash! I honestly have never played it, so this motivates me to try it out! I did some searching for New Zealand Story assets. Seems like a tough one to find high resolution art for. There is a marquee that seems usable floating around. But bezel and CPO will be a bit harder to create. I will put it on my list of things to do in the near future. Welcome sorbeppe!

Hey sorbeppe,
The enthusiasm is great! I must a admit, it’s a long list. I’m sure many games will get worked on in time. In the meantime, try this thread. There are a lot of overlays in this pack. I know for sure Mercs is in there off the top of my head. Maybe go through it and check off some from your list here
Oh and Dreamstste’s thread is a good one to look through too. I know Gun Smoke is over there. There are a lot of good ones there.
Lastly, you can try ctrl+f here to do a search for any game name to see if one of the games on your list may be hiding in a post here. Jackowacko, darkand and walter.farmacia have many single link overlay posts. But in a nut shell, the opening post from Ars Invictus has the majority of overlays here already bundled. Check the “portrait-monitor” and “vertical-overlay” links.
Yep thanks I already checked everywere before request
… in launchbox forum I saw Gun smoke, ninja gaiden and Mercs
Wow! Fantastic work! I’m glad I could contribute in someway.
That’s amazing! I always wanted someone to make realistic kiosk bezel. You hit the mark!
@Orionsangel Your comment made my week!
Thank you so much for sharing your bezels for Virtua Racing and Daytona USA. Those were amazingly fun to work with and literally set the whole framework for those full vertical overlays!
Also, thank you for the kind words. I’m new to the scene and learning how to navigate and such. Apologies I didn’t give you proper credit and thanks. Moving forward I plan to do things with this in mind first.
The kiosk will be a series. More planned around other ones. I have a PS1 and Genesis kiosk in the works!
