Adobe Flash core?

Hi. I’m a huge fan of Flash games and I came up with a weird idea. There’s been attempts at emulating SWF files in the past, and there’s 3 that come to my mind (notice that all 3 haven’t been worked on for years):

[ul] [li]Gnash: https://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/[/li] [li]Source Code: http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gnash/[/li][li]Other Source (not official): https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/wily/+package/gnash[/li][/ul]

[li]Lightspark: http://lightspark.github.io/[/li][ul] [li]Source Code: https://github.com/lightspark/lightspark[/li][/ul]

[li]Shumway: https://mozilla.github.io/shumway/[/li][ul] [li]Source Code: https://github.com/mozilla/shumway[/li][/ul]

All 3 of these players are open-source (though abandoned), so maybe there’s a way to work around them? I don’t know, I just think it would be cool to play Flash games on RetroArch, or BizHawk just to hang out with all the NES and PlayStation cores.

So I heard that Adobe will stop sopporting Flash pretty soon, so I’m a little worried that there will be no way to play a lot of these games in the future. Ok, I’m pretty worried… :worried:

@SSwoodstock from what I’ve googled, there appears to be several web browsers for the Dreamcast that are able to access websites hosting flash games: https://dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9858

One user in that link said that there are already homebrew games available that contain HTML served locally. So, I wonder if it is theoretically possible to burn an image with your .swf flash game run in the dreamcast core browser…?
