I’m using a Retroid Pocket 3+ to play N64 games on Mupen64Plus-Next GLES3. If I launch the games, directly from RetroArch, everything works fine.
If I launch some games, like Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64, from the frontend I am using (Daijisho) everything works fine.
The problem I’m running into is most games, when launched via Daijisho into RA, have no response to the controller. Not just game input either, hotkeys like Fast Forward and Open Menu, don’t work either.
I did some tinkering, and I discovered if I left an overlay on the screen, and opened a game with no controller response, I can use the touch-screen button to call up the RetroArch menu - and then suddenly my controller works, I can resume the game, and I can play like normal.
My first assumption was that maybe a video driver change was getting in the way. I have Vulkan set as my default, but my N64 plugin is GlideN64 for video. So I swapped to GL, but no change in result. Also tried disabling the core’s ability to switch the driver and just got a black screen for video.
I’m used to running .bat files on PC to do a log file, but I’m not sure on Android how to do that, and I am also not sure what I could be looking for in this case.
