Hello, Current core seems to be based on a one year old mednafen version. Core version is 1.22 while mednafen saturn is now 1.24 . Is there a reason for this ? Or does core version doesn’t mean anything and contain all current mednafen updates ?

It takes work to update it. It’s not just a matter of grabbing the upstream source, it has to be modified each time.
I understand ! I wanted to ask because some cores are updated nearly as quickly as their official counterpart, like bsnes for example.

Any news on a core update?
Version 1.22.2 was released in April 2019 and this core still uses it. Version 1.24.1 came out in March this year, and now there’s 1.24.3. I know it takes time to update cores, but this seems unusually long.
One of the main reasons i joined this forum was to ask this question. The latest updates contain fixes that i’ve been waiting a very long time for.
Same answer. It takes someone with the time, expertise and inclination to rebase it and everyone has been working on other things.
