Commodore Plus 4 (VICE PLUS 4) Core not loading PRG or TAP files

Hi, I recently tried loading some Commodore Plus 4 .PRG and .TAP files and neither are working.

PRG files appear to be ignored (nothing loads). TAP files appear to load but I get returned to BASIC before the game finishes loading.

I have tried to load the same files in the Windows version of VICE (3.2) and both formats load fine.

So I wondered if I am missing something, or is the core broken?

TAP files work for me (tested Cuthbert in the Cooler and Tom Thumb). PRG doesn’t autostart for me either. I think WinVice normally has a couple for settings for that, but there is nothing regarding that in core options.

Thanks, that’s interesting, I tried Tom Thumb and it worked fine.

I tried Treasure Island, Jack Attack and Air Wolf and none of them would load.

Perhaps there will be a core update to a newer version of VICE some time :thinking:
