Desert Falcon with Stella core crashes Retroarch

With the latest versions of Retroarch, if I try to launch the Desert Falcon game for Atari 2600, then using the updated Stella core, Retroarch crash.

If I try instead to launch it with the old versions of Retroarch (for example the 1.3.6), always with the updated Stella core, the game starts and plays regularly.

hmm, that’s strange. The RetroArch version shouldn’t matter.

Can you get a log of the crash?

I tried it here using the latest nightly (from the Ubuntu testing PPA) and the latest stella core, and used the Atarmania V14 rompack, and both the desert falcon roms work: https://i.imgur.com/wjOE7ww.png

I found where the problem is.

In practice, if the “Rewind” option is enabled (in the “Frame Throttle” menu), the videogame can not start, but if this option is disabled, then the game works correctly.

Even the save / load state, crashes the videogame.

is it only Desert Falcon bahaving like this in Stella?

Of the video games for Atari 2600, which I tried with Retroarch, only Desert Falcon has these problems.
