Disabling Screensavers? (PC Ver.)

Is there anyway to implement this at all? As i just hate it when I’m playing a game and i have to move the mouse to get rid of the screensaver which overlaps my gameplay.

if it already exists within RetroArch, how do i go about doing this?

I apologize if this is in the wrong place, if it is… please feel free to move it. thanks.

Edit: oh, before i forget… is there anyway to add support for direct streaming to twitch.tv or something like that, without using another application or sort of go-between?

I don’t think there’s any sane, crossplatform way of disabling screensavers, so it’s not really a good fit for RetroArch. There are some separate utilities that perform such functionality, though, like this one: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti … e-running/

RetroArch already supports built-in twitch streaming: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/w … -streaming

AFAIK, there’s no easy way to get a talking head or voiceover with such a thing, though.

thanks for the quick reply hunterk, really appreciate your help.

My pleasure

Do you play in fullscreen? I don’t get screensaver while playing in fullscreen, even with a gamepad.

usually, nine times out ten it happens. i don’t know if it depends on the operating system though to be honest.

fullscreen? windowed-fullscreen?

Actual full screen, not windowed.

weird that that happens… windows right?

Yes, Windows XP Professional (SP3) 32-bit

On Windows, screensavers are disabled. At least in the OpenGL driver.
