Dolphin core freezing

I put the required files in my system folder named just like so

system/dolphin-emu/Sys.

It loads and runs WII fine but when I run most gamecube games like Metroid Prime 2 it freezes on intro even if i skip them with a button press. Any setting suggestions that might help with this? Im on a linux machine by the way.

Before it freezes, you can try going to into the quick menu and disable fastmem. That might make it very slow, though.
