Dolphin core, Patches

I’m playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This title is known to slow down considerably in certain areas. A patch exists that can be enabled via a tab in Dolphin. How do you enable the Hyrule Field Speed Hack for use in RetroArch?

In general someone has to take care about the dolphin core =( Game compatibility, controller mappings etc are not on par with standalone. There are several issues which needs to be solved. Same applies for Wii.

In Windows 7, the core is unusable because it gets stuck in the background processes after you exit a game and the only way to continue load other games or cores is to manually kill it. So i gave up on it and use the standalone.

I finally fixed the twilight princess stuttering and crackling sound on Retroarch when playing in the Hyrule map. For those who are in the same issue, switch over to the Vulcan video driver and switch the EFB scale to 3x or 4x before you run gamecube.

there is still a little bit of crackling, but it looks better and runssmoother!

also… follow everything this video explains (https://youtu.be/yb34Mg7mCEA) and you’ll be set. i can finally play the game
