Dolphin Core Stuttering in RetroArch

Hello,

i installed retroarch in Kodi with the addon from bite_your_idols. My system works with libreelec (latest version) on an Asrock J3455. I think its enough speed for dolphin.

After all installed i tested some gamecube games. All games with sound stuttering and have slow speed. When i interrupt in the game to go back in menue to look for options the sound working perfect. When i resume all stuttering like before.

Is the J3455 to slow what i dont think or where can be the problem?

That looks like a great little board. I hadn’t seen them before

The dolphin core is one of our more intensive, so that could definitely be your problem. Make sure you don’t have Hard GPU Sync enabled, as that increased the CPU load.

Hey hunterk,

thx for answering. I cant find some example settings in the net. What are the best settings for dolphin?

I think the problem is the core, because the dolphin emulator which u can install on win or linux works good with the board what i have. The are some videos on youtube that the cpu is enough.

Hi, I’m pigging backing on this thread cause I couldnt figure out how to make my own thread.

I have just installed RetroArch and the Dolphin Emulator and a couple GameCube and Wii roms. The Gamecube roms work fine, but the Wii rom doesnt even show up when I scan the directory. The file extension of the Wii ROM is .wbfs. The Wii ROM works in the standalone Dolphin Emulator, but isnt detected by RetroArch. Any tips?

Hey 00jknight,

what board and CPU are you using and which platform u use retroarch?

I’ll also reply here because why not. On the Vulkan driver, the Dolphin core stutters like crazy!

I also have sound issues with no response:
