[DOSBox] Many keys don't work, e.g. Slash, Colon

Hey guys! Are you able to type stuff like a colon or a slash in the DOSBox command prompt?

I tried US and German keyboard layouts (codes us and gr), no dice. Some combinations with the Shift key work, but most don’t. I can only type lower and upper case regular characters, everything else is a coin toss.

In the global hotkey settings, I have disabled almost all of RetroArch’s hotkeys, so they shouldn’t be interfering.

What happens if you use the ‘game focus’ mode?

I’ve also had good luck using a combination of physical modifier keys and the admittedly broken keyboard overlay.
