Dreamcast Bios in Ubuntu

So i got the lastes version of Retroarch with Reicast in it, and i’ve read that i need the DC bios, so i got it, but i have no clue where to put it. Some help plz

[SOLVED]

it’s a weird one. Most bios images to into your ‘system’ directory (whatever you have it set to in your settings > directory) but reicast needs it in system/dc (you’ll need to create that subdirectory).

Well in Ubuntu i have everything where it is by default. my cores are all in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libretro/ But the “System/BIOS” folder is shown as <Content dir> So where should i create the folder, if you could be a bit more specific

you could create it wherever you want. Mine reside on /games/retroarch

I keep all of mine on a network drive with my ROMs. One thing to be aware of, though, is that Reicast needs to write things to that directory, as well, so be sure to select somewhere to which you have read/write privs.

How do i make it so that Reicast/Retroarch knows where to find the BIOS? is it just specifying the “System/BIOS” option that is <Content dir> ?

go to settings > directory and look for ‘System/BIOS dir’. Change it to whichever directory you want to put your BIOS images into.

Alright ! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to reply <3
