Duimon - HSM Mega Bezel Graphics and Presets - Feedback and Updates

Hey all. I added the SEGA Naomi to the repos. (Advanced features will, of course, have to wait.)

Here’s a couple reminder shots.

Either the Neo Geo Pockets or WonderSwan pair. I haven’t decided yet.

(Actually, I think I may skip ahead to a MAME Software list, just to keep things interesting. :innocent:)

Thank you, my dear friend. Anxiously waiting for a default arcade cabinet!

Here’s a quick new one!

The vtech V.Smile MAME Software List!

This is a vector conversion of my existing raster graphic for this system. (It’s actually a fairly good representation. :innocent:)

I may spend a bit more time on this.

The gem-like buttons across the bottom are pretty cool. I think they would add quite a bit of visual interest. (Although recreating the whole unit would make the screen too small.)

Nope, not a problem. (That’s why I include the source, it is free to use without mention.)

Actually, one of the “advanced features” that I said had to wait, (In the release post.) was the background on a separate layer. Another is the ability to change the color of the cabinet using shader parameters. (I showed an example of it when I debut the Naomi WIP.)

I can confirm that I will be doing a Super Grafx graphic.

Well damn, ain’t that a throwback

First console I ever owned, I remember many of the games being half decent (as far as kids games are concerned).

I had both the VSmile itself and the Pocket.

also, on the pocket, the side buttons could “flip”, kinda similar to the controller for the home console version. Flipping a switch on the back would enable you to flip around the enter button and dpad. Each button was a sphere basically, one side had dpad and the other had enter.

It was actually pretty cool for the time, I can’t think of another system to do that.

The flip side was orange with blue white text I believe.

Might be a cool thing to include in the shader if you decide to make it

Here’s another peak at my progress. :innocent:

This is turning out to be one of the toughest graphics I have done yet. (Part of me wonders why I couldn’t leave it well enough alone.)

It is coming along just fine, with plenty of room to satisfy my need for OCD passes.

One of my design choices makes it a little bottom heavy. Still not sure I will do anything about it. (Although if I don’t, my OCD may not let me sleep at night. :upside_down_face:)

Things always look better as details are added, we’ll see how I feel later on in the process.

I think it’s pretty close!

I’m fairly happy with it, though I think there’s room for a good and thorough OCD pass. :innocent:

I also think this proves it is a worthy effort to make use of some MAME Software List machines, to fill some holes in the RA cores.

Are any VSmile games actually playable through Mame? last time I checked the system was supported but no games were known to run.

I’m playing one in the screenshot. (Alphabet Park Adventure (US))I have 19 US roms that work and there are many working titles in other languages. It seems they add more with every MAME update.

The creation date on my raster graphic is 2019/03/10 and all 19 games worked at that time.
