Yep, thats what I’m looking for. Thank you sir!
After updating MegaBezel to the latest nightly build from github the Duimon presets make problems: Backgrounds will not be loaded and heavy performance sound stuttering effects. It doesn’t matter what Duimon presets i choose.
The MegaBezel shaders itself work normal.
Is it just a problem on my machine?
There’s nothing special about my presets.
I’ll install the latest nightly and do some testing.
Which core and what RetroArch video driver?
Which Core or video driver I use doesn’t seem to matter. Tested with various combinations.
Yeah. . .I read that wrong and thought you were talking about the latest RetroArch nightly.
The nightly Mega Bezel is only partially working, and only the GDV presets work at all. (AFAIK)
The newest Mega Bezel set won’t work with Duimon’s Graphics right now that I know of. HyperspaceMadness changed the names of the image paths ie BackgroundImage to Background.
Yup, unless you want to try out the in progress features you really should grab one of the releases on Github.
The changes currently in the live repo main branch are big enough that I’m considering it to be sort of a Mega Bezel V2. Almost everything will be migratable, but there will need to be migration in terms of changing names of parameters and images. Perhaps could possibly take the time to write a script to do it when it’s ready to release, we’ll see…
OK thanks@all. Haven’t known that. Will use the Releaseversion of Mega until then.
I wholeheartedly endorse this idea!
@Duimon, looking through the Orionsangel Original Console presets, Lite and Standard are named [ADV].
Well that is a pretty big oops.
Thanks for the heads up!
The Orionsangel-Original-Console repo and release are updated to v1.0.0.1
Changes:
- Renamed the Lite and Standard presets to reflect the correct class.
The link to the current release is in the first post.
Sorry, forgot to quote.
Hi! Duimon!! I’m trying your Bezel Project and also your Bezel Project Script. I’m not sure what’s the difference between them. Do they have the same result or one of them is better than the other? BTW, I love your work!!! I’m planning to build a cabinet using your beatiful bezels!!!
The script is outdated and no longer needed now that we have wildcards to do the heavy lifting. It did take a sample of the overlays and use an algorithm to create custom colors for the bezel. . . but it would create 1000’s of presets, when we only need one.
I should probably remove the script from my repo.
Thank you. It has been a labor of love.
Hi, I’d like to ask you something about your Duimon-Vintage-TV shader. I really like it but sometimes the elliptic pattern is too much visible (you can see it in the attached image). Which parameter in the shader setting should I modify to tune it down or to remove it completely? Thanks for your amazing work!
The moire is related to scanlines, so removing them will eliminate the issue. It is also related to curvature, but eliminating curvature would look strange on a vintage TV.
If you don’t mind some corner clipping you can turn the “CRT Curvature Scale Multiplier” down to 0.00 and keep the scanlines.
Thank you. If I set the parameter to 0 I get straight horizontal lines. How to remove the scanlines?
Remember that the shader uses the resolution of the content, so when using an image to set parameters, be sure the image is the same resolution as your intended content. (320x240, 640x480 etc.)
Those scanlines look very unusual so I am concerned about resolution. It almost looks like you have the scanline resolution set really low.
