Exodus' CRT TV's Overlays Collection (With Day and Night support)

Would you also mind looking over the Glass Overlay that jubinko posted?

Hi oxodus, love these overlays! I don’t know if you take request but would it be possible to have a 16:10 version of the Samsung overlay?

Thank you! Looks great.

Loving these overlays, is there any chance you could whip up something using these Sharp TVs? Thanks!

I had the first model, Samsung flat. Would love to have this model, I also liked the last one a lot.

Video config: X Pos. 289 Y Pos. 26 Ratio Width: 1343 Ratio Height: 1007 Shader: crt_Aperture, Sony Wega with S-video or any similar

Here is Sharp overlay for 1080p, test it because i have 16:10 monitor. Try this settings in retroarch: integer scale off, aspect ratio custom, viewport x 528, viewport y 142, viewport width 827, viewport height 620.

Hello @exodus123456

I have added your overlays to my compilation pack : https://github.com/cosmo0/retropie-overlays

I hope it’s ok with you ? Please let me know if you have issues with it.

Thank you very much for your awesome work

Great, you’re welcome!

Hi all,

@exodus123456 thanks for a great work.

I took your OLDCRT_NIGHT overlay and updated it a little bit - changed a screen size to match 960x720 (which is 4:3 and 720 on it’s own it’s original NES vertical resolution multiplied by 3), and added glare/reflection effects. See the result below:

If somebody needs it you can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17JkWKRA2t7QsOy7o0iH9m2dvaVpaB_3E/view?usp=sharing I’ve also added the readme with coordinates/recommended shader info etc.

Great!! I’ve been wondering on how to do that glare effect.

Can you add a glare effect on the “Standard Classic CRT” and for the “just speakers overlay”??

Maybe it’s a png you may share?

Thanks in advance!

Would be happy to do so! Thanks!

Standard Classic CRT (Day and Night) with glare: 3.5 options (or 3 days and 4 nights )

nice! nice! nice! ty man and gl!

Just wanted to personally say thank you for these also, they are fantastic!

Here is my edit of the Toshiba Flat. I removed the logo, and edited the cut-out for the emulated screen. Now it fits perfect. I also cleaned the frame a little.

Where exactly were these “Classic 80’s Television” images from, that have the red light on and Channel 3 symbol? Someone in here posted the original high res version of that TV on a stock web-site that you have to buy the image for $20, but even though that’s the same TV… it’s not the night time versions with the lights on. Did @Kondorito and @ljubinko modify that original stock image? I’m asking because I am trying to use the full res version for a project I’m working on but I like the version with the lights better. Can anyone point me to the original source of that one with the lights on?? Thanks!

Hey @jordanwalkert. My image share was over three years ago, so I do not remember how I got it  If you share here the image you want to use (the one with the watermark) I could try doing some image reverse engineering and find an HQ one over the internet.
