Failed To Load Libretro Core Retroarch 1.7.3

I am unable to run NES games using the Mesen Core. Everytime I try to load a game I get the error “failed to load Libretro Core”. It was working just fine yesterday and I haven’t changed any of my retroarch configurations, it just suddenly stopped working. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you update the core?

After I started getting the error I completely deleted the NES playlist and the Mesen Core dll and reloaded it all from scratch.
