New Design
The Bezel Preset Editor has undergone a complete redesign, introducing new features while streamlining existing functionality.
User Interface and Navigation:
-
Video Player: A small video player will remain available in the bottom-right corner for viewing content.
-
Quick Navigation: A “back to top” button has been implemented to facilitate rapid navigation through the extensive menu system.
-
Layout: Primary action buttons are now located on the left side, while less frequently used options are on the right. Controls for managing bezel settings, general preferences, and help are positioned at the top.
-
Tooltips: Hovering over any button will display descriptive tooltips explaining its function.
-
Color Vision: The color scheme has been standardized for uniformity, with a dedicated button added to switch to the “Color Thief” feature. The input is now configured to accept any of the four color formats (Hex, RGB, HSL, HSB/HSV).
File Management and Editing:
-
Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Users can now drag and drop
slangp , params , and pre files directly into the text area.
-
Merge Feature: A new merge option allows users to load a secondary file and integrate its settings with the currently loaded configuration. The merge function overwrites similar existing settings when conflicts arise.
-
Text Area Synchronization: Typing or pasting a setting into the text area will automatically highlight the corresponding option within the menu.
Output Control:
-
Selective Output: Checkboxes allow users to control precisely which settings are exported to the text area when the “Settings to Text” button is pressed.
-
Optimized Output: Settings retaining their default values will automatically be excluded from the generated text output, keeping files clean and concise.
Upcoming Themes:
The existing theme will be renamed “RetroArch/Oasis”. New dedicated themes are planned, including Monochrome, Amber, Notebook, and Code styles.
There are a few more things that need to be completed before everything can be uploaded.
