As soon as I upgraded to the latest retroarch 1.0.0.1, almost all the previous controller overlays are gone. I select the .cgf file in the retroarch folder, but nothing happens, no overlays. I then tried to select the overlays in var/stash/applications/retroarch/overlays, nes.cgf, e.g. & it works. What I found out is that the overlay folders contain png imges, etc, not just the cgf file., which i only have for nes, snes, ps1 & thats it. The other .cgf files are standalone with no png files or anything else. Im stumped, how do I get the .cgf files to install properly? cuz i keep selecting it but doesn’t produce the overlay controllers for the emulator. =(
It sounds like your installation is broken, since those pngs should definitely be included. That said, you can download them from the github repo (https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/a … master.zip) and copy them from media/overlays into your overlays directory.
