RetroArch & iOS Emulators repo (Jailbroken):

If you’re jailbroken, just add my repo to Cydia (or Sileo… Or nitoTV!): http://johan.margueritte.free.fr/repo

Add to Cydia on your jailbroken device, add to Sileo on your jailbroken device

I created a buildbot too specifically for jailbroken iOS 11+, tvOS 11+, iOS 10 — and for iOS 6 to 9 jailbroken or not! It’s already configured in my RetroArch downloads…

iOS 11+ buildbot: (64-bit)

tvOS 11+ buildbot: (64-bit)

iOS 10 buildbot: (32 & 64-bit)

iOS 9 buildbot: (32-bit)

With iPadOS now supporting mouse input, is there any chance of it being implemented here? Mouse support in DOSBox would be game changing! Especially being able to run Windows on Retroarch for kicks and giggles!

@Weedy_Weed_Smoker Thanks for your great work in maintaining this release! It all works smoothly as far as I know on iOS 13.5 jailbroken. I was wondering about the PCSX ReArmed core, it says that there’s only the interpreter version. I think I have another device on the official 1.8.7 iOS release, and that had the normal ReArmed core. Did something happen with this version that didn’t let it compile?

@2390 I already requested this feature, for RetroArch here: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/10769

And for iDOS, with a positive response from the dev here:

@Zardozer Yeah, I had to remove it because it was not a real hardware accelerated core, it was the same as the interpreter one, just renamed…

Since the move to 64-bit only by Apple in iOS, all the JIT optimizations and hardware accelerations have been lost, and no one managed to port those to iOS 64-bit yet…

I hope we get some news from @jet082 who was on the track to do just that before his only computer crashed badly…

Hi everyone, I need advice but I already know that it will be very difficult to come out on top. So, I managed to understand how to run the Amiga games on my iPad Pro 2018 using the PUAE core on the Retroarch 1.8.0 version. I have loaded the bios and all the roms to my liking, but the problem is that, apart from Lupo Alberto and the legendary football game Kick-Off, all the other titles, at the start of the upload, require, like the original Amiga computer, the click with the right or left text (now I don’t remember, since about 25 years have passed since I used it) of the mouse to continue loading the game and specifically near the screen of the various crackers that had bypassed the game protections . My question is, some pious soul, do you know how the hell you can emulate the mouse click on Retroarch? Is there a way to create hotkeys that allow this operation or do I have to buy a mouse for the iPad? Thanks to anyone who wants to help me.

@YuXaaaa Can you test the latest version on iOS 6?

I just updated the repo with iOS 6 and iOS 8 versions compiled with an Xcode version that is still compatible with iOS 6…

sure i will try again

@Weedy_Weed_Smoker any updates on 1.8.9? Also, any chance of bringing overlays back for this one on tvos? Edit: forgot you said you needed a new certificate

I will update the IPA’s soon, I’m trying to get the iOS 6 version working for @YuXaaaa right now but whenever I can I will try to bring my laptop to random shops displaying an AppleTV to try and get a new certificate…

Edit: @YuXaaaa I finally found the culprit! I will upload an updated version for iOS 6 soon!

This code change was the culprit, dating back from january…

i think you forget package the cores in deb :crazy_face:427

@YuXaaaa You have to use the online updater for the cores, they are on my buildbot so you can choose which ones to download…

The only exception I made is for iOS 10 and up IPA versions because Apple blocked external code to be downloaded and run on non-jailbroken iOS…

Anyway, the IPA’s are up too!

OK THANKS YOUR FIX BUGS

Is there anyway you can put 1.8.8 version back on Cydia when I updated to the latest version I can no longer use netplay It always crashes I have three iPads I updated both my iPad pros about four months ago but haven’t used net play until recently and on both iPads they crash. My third iPad I was on 1.8.8 and netplay was working flawlessly. So I decided to update it to the latest version to see if I was going to get the same problem and lo and behold the same problem happened after I updated it to the latest version it keeps crashing every time I try to host and I get all these errors when I try to join and I tested it out before I updated to the latest version and like I said 1.8.8 was working flawlessly so I beg you to please put that version back on cydia either as a separate one or a downgrade I’m on iOS 13.5 and was using your repo retroarch (iOS 11+) I see there is a downgrade but the version is from 2016 version 1.0.0.1 There really is no need to have that as a downgrade if you can put 1.8.8 back up that would be amazing thank you and stay safe
