I wanted to play Kings Field 1 (the Japanese release that never officially was released outside of Japan) and I ran in to an issue pretty early on while playing. When I tried saving the game the game soft locked, the sound track stopped looping and got stuck on a single note and the only way to get out of the menu was to completely close down or restart the game. Save states work, but I would prefer to use the official saving feature of the game. I don’t have any trouble saving in any of the other games that I have tried other than this game.
It works much better with the pcsx core. Aside from the load/save thing, last time I checked text didn’t display correctly, or at all. Fantastic game by the way, and it’s DNA survives in the Souls games. Can’t wait for Elden Ring.
