Sorry that didn’t work for you.
I just get a Black Screen and Core/RA Crash
D3D11: screen is all black unless I press Fast Forward (!?!?)
I get exact same
Vulkan works but Games run Slow
You guys with the issues, are you using Intel integrated graphics?
Have to double check when I get home
But I know that on PCSX2 that Vulkan and Software Graphics don’t work
Tried the core for the first time (on Windows 10 x64) and I can’t get the rumble to work on any game with my 8bitdo controller. It always works fine in every other core that supports it like swanstation or mupen64. Any tips?
Nope. Nvidia card (with Nvidia driver obviously). The only two unusual things graphic card/driver related I noticed on my system is that the d3d11 and d3d12 drivers stopped working at some point for me while they worked before (if I try to set the gfx driver to either d3d11 or d3d12 it just crashes RA before even loading any content) starting at 1.11.0 though that was a long time ago. Might be related to this issue:
Glcore and Vulkan works well with one caveat regarding Vulkan is that with N64 cores using the parallel RDP it crashes for me. A few other users at least have reported the issue. As mentioned in that thread, might be gfx driver/card related.
In both cases it appears the issue only affect very few users/systems so understandably it’s harder to debug. Not sure if those issues are related to this problem.
If anyone else has Windows 8 installed please let me know in the thread whether you’re able to load the core or not.
I have windows 10 and have Simmlar Issues
Well, my rig is relatively old, GTX 960 + i5 6400, but as I mentioned, with d3d11 standalone pcsx2 runs quite well @1080p.
great core, congratulations! it works perfectly for me on linux by setting vulkan or glcore as video driver (with gl it doesn’t work) and using these ps2 bios:
$ ls ~/.config/retroarch/system/pcsx2/bios/
'Sony PlayStation 2 BIOS (E)(v2.0)(2004-06-14)[SCPH70008].bin'

i use CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with integrated GPU
i used an intel iGPU (HD Graphics 630). For me vulkan runs as fast as opengl with LRPS2. To slow for some games but many ran just fine - for example NTSC Versions of god of war and silent hill 2 both run nearly flawless with both drivers. I use latest lakka 5.x GBM Image and imported the LRPS2 core nightly some days ago. Sadly for Parallel Renderer the intel igpu is WAAAYYY too weak for good speeds, but it works at least!
Yes, that’s been my experience with intel 630, as well.
I found works okay with glcore but has Graphic Issues that at least 6-7 Yeara Old with Graphics Card
That with my Main PC that is Older but Tried new Gaming PC that made in the 1-2 years and seem to work very well with Nivida Graphics card
Try Way of the Samauri but when talking to someone they all like they got Beards
Tried NFL Head Coach and found in Coach Now selection that only a bit of head is showing
Hi, I noticed that the video quality of retroarch+LRPS2 is slightly lower than PCSX2 standalone even though you are using the same settings.
retroarch (vulkan):
pcsx2 (vulkan):
config:
Maybe I need to set some other options?I think the difference is made by the option “Bilinear upscaling: Bilinear (Sharp)” of pcsx2. Unfortunately on the retroarch core this option is not there
RetroArch itself have a bilinear filtering option under Settings > Video > Scaling > Bilinear Filtering . Maybe that’s why this option was omitted from the core itself? This option is recommended to set off if you have any Shaders in effect too.
thanks, I have activated Bilinear Filtering in retroarch video settings and now the video quality of PS2 games is identical to pcsx2 stand-alone!
How are you guys adjusting your shader settings for this core? When I bring up the F1 menu, I have a black screen and I can’t see adjustments that I’m making. Is there a trick to it?
Aside from that… I wanted to say that I’ve been playing it for a couple days and it is very rock solid. Compared to where it was at just a few months ago when we first saw it, it has made some really great progress. The retroarch guys have done a really awesome job on this core. Thanks, guys.
What i need to know is, am i the only person who has noticed frame pacing issues with PAL games in this new core? So far nobody else has confirmed this.
The old core supported VRR and the 50fps PAL games were smooth. This one doesn’t.
