Mame2014 and overriding configs

Hello guys, first I’d like to thank you all for your help, even though this is my first post in this forum I’ve been reading a ton since I discovered RetroArch a week ago.

I’m using the following setup at home:

  • Arcade Cabinet with a THT arcade console 2p usb (Xin-mo) + 2 Microsoft 360 gamepads.

I’ve managed to setup overriding config files in snes9x and nestopia emulators so I can alter the order of the input devices as windows always put the xbox pads before the joysticks so I use the overriding config to put my joysticks first (or last if I want to use the xbox gamepads like in snes9x)

My problem is that I don’t know the name of the folder I must use to override the mame2014 config file so I’d be really grateful if someone can point me in the right direction.

IIRC, it needs to be named exactly what the core says its name is, which should be printed in the lower-left corner of the menu.

Hello again hunterk, your solution worked flawless, the problem was I wasn’t adding the blank space between “mame” and “2014”
