I just compiled this for windows 7 64 bit from source and I put the bios in the system directory unfortunately it doesn’t seem to load any games. Is this not supposed/ready to work on windows seeing as it doesn’t have an official dll yet?

Yeah it seems to work fine in Arch Linux 64 for me as well but it doesn’t load any games in windows. Just curious if they plan to implement this for windows. Although I will switch to Linux just as soon as they fix the bug in KMS for AMD cards that causes dropped frames; that and I still need to figure out how to tell KMS to output on my TV and not my laptop screen. So for now I am stuck in windows and trying to make the best of it 
officially released in phoenix today and still not working. Tested both the one I built and the one from phoenix both fail to load any games on windows 7 64 bit

Don’t worry - you are not missing much - it is based on a version of VBA pre-M (so the Forgotten-era VBA builds).
Wait for the VBA Next-flavoured VBA-M rebase that I’m going to do within a few days - that will give you mainline VBA-M without any of the regressive speedhacks while still keeping the nice bits of the libretro port (like built-in vbaover and other stuff). It will become a bit slower but it will also become a lot more accurate.
We’ll keep VBA Next around for the ghetto hardware and try to improve upon it in the long run.
