I would really like it to not skip the Playstation intro. I read somewhere an older version didn’t. Can this be changed back/have some kind of option to not skip the bios?
I can add a core option for that possibly.
Thanks!
Unfortunately the core option you added doesn’t seem to work.
I didn’t change anything yet since my last post in this thread.
If you press “reset game”/“restart game” the core will load from emulated system boot.
Ah Squarepusher I thought you had as I updated on Monday and there were some core options, before there weren’t. solarriors that doesn’t work for me.
Sorry to be pushy Squarepusher but any idea of when you might be able to do this? (It’s the only thing stopping me from switching from Xebra.)
Seeing the Playstation logo at the beginning is that big of a deal for you?? o_O
Yes
Yes. It’s cool, and being greeted by that logo and sound is something you would have seen a thousand times if you were playing a playstation. Nice sense of nostalgia.
Too bad then because that PSX jingle actually ruins a few games like Wipeout XL/Wipeout where the final ‘echo sound’ of the PS1 bootup screen keeps repeating all throughout the intro and disclaimer screens of those games. This is not what the real PSX did but it’s behavior that Mednafen PSX exhibits.
It’s better off with it entirely disabled so that you don’t get sound anomalies like that popping up throughout the intros of your games.
