UPDATE: I was able to find the problem. Apparently (and sorry if this is known) having the rewind feature enabled gets this type of scenario. I had it true by default from the start, and this is the first core that gave me problems with it. As soon as I falsed it, games started to work as they should.
Hey guys, how are you?
I started messing with PSX emulation and tried mednafen for it. With the regular core I get very slow video (and cannot pass 37 fps) and I get choppy audio. I tried tweaking driver/video/sound/core; everything (I think) but cannot get it right. In the log I could not find something that tells me what´s going on. One line I found that maybe you guys find important is “Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.”. Dont know.
I then tried with HW, but it crashes. In the log I got something:
RetroArch [ERROR] :: Softfilter does not support input format. RetroArch [ERROR] :: [SoftFitler]: Failed to create softfilter graph… RetroArch [ERROR] :: Failed to load filter. RetroArch [INFO] :: Video @ fullscreen RetroArch [ERROR] :: [Vulkan]: Failed to open Vulkan loader. RetroArch [ERROR] :: [Vulkan]: Failed to open Vulkan loader. RetroArch [ERROR] :: [Vulkan]: Failed to create Vulkan context.
This machine I am working on is an i3 1.8Ghz with 4Gb. Let me know if you have any tips about this, or if I need to install something else in the machine (I read in a topic that somebody got it running with VUlkan after installing the SDK).
The game that I got and use for testings is Crash Team Racing. I do have all the Bioses; could it be that wrong bios checksum would lead to lag/choppyness?
I will stop with the wall of text. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
