It has always been my thought that these kiosk systems would work well for a portrait display. In any case, if you would like, I could do some perspective and aspect correction if you hook me up with your source.
i allways loved this kiosk display units , and its an “official” CRT gameboy
i saw hgoda90´s handheld arcade overlays and they remind me on this …so i was going to hunt down some pics ^^
Yup, just choose the DREZ 480p preset in the DREZ folder and it will scale to 640x480 at the beginning of the shader chain. And welcome to the forum!
Amazing! The “MBZ__1__ADV__DREZ-480p__GDV” preset is exactly what I wanted for my PC.
Though, is it possible to fix the resolution on a “potato” preset? I use this one on my Surface Duo phone: “MBZ__5__POTATO”.
Thanks!
I could make a preset for this if you would like to do this
That would be great! Please make it if it’s not too much work. Thanks!
I am loving the max-screen size version of the shader!
I noticed something strange with the xbr version. The top scanline looks different than the rest, darker. Once you notice it, it really stands out and i can’t stop staring at it. I’m not sure if it’s normal.
Hmm, I think it’s probably normal, maybe @Hyllian can comment if this happens with his standard Super-XBR presets.
It’s possible it’s something that I’ve done to it to cause the issue because it seems like technically there is no reason that this has to be here.
i just had to make a livesey animation so i did it so much retro as possible and recorded it with this shader xD
I think I made it!!

What do you think?..
Any suggestion in brightness, halation, bloom, etc, are welcome…
Nice job!
This is really nicely balanced, the slotmask really helps give texture to the underlying smoothness.
Definitely feels nice and crt-like while being nicely smoothed
Feel like sharing your settings?
Here are the settings for the Sega Saturn…

For the Mega Drive, I just raised the Mask bloom to 10, and the sega brightness fix to 1…
i´am still blown away how much this shader can get out of a 320x240 Resoulution
FYI my Custom-Bezel_001 preset was intentionally design to mimic OrionsAngel’s overlay bezel, and cover the original using the overlay as a background.
It was my intention to redistribute his original overlays as an all Mega Bezel no Overlay pack, but he backed out and I wasn’t going to do it without his permission.
Where can I download this Custom Bezel?
Thanks.
It is part of my Mega Bezel pack and can be downloaded with the rest. The presets require the use of a custom frame highlight image. It is also part of my pack.
You may use it if you wish, along with my preset settings.
The point is really, that people are trending towards using overlays with the Mega Bezel… when there is no need.
The Mega Bezel has many image layers which makes using overlays in concert both redundant and unnecessarily time consuming.
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’m guessing that if people are using overlays with Mega Bezel it’s so they can change them out by selecting a new one and without having to have any technical knowledge of how the shaders work… but the shader method would give you a lot more versatility as to positioning the image, and options, etc… Is there a good tutorial for this if people want to learn how to change them out?
