mGBA 0.5 problems

With mGBA if I try to make a savestate while playing a GB or GBC game, it causes Retroarch to crash (in a nightly or the last stable). Additionally it is not making SRAM saves for me on GB games (testing Mario Land 2 and Donkey Kong).

Also having trouble with mGBA and the last few nightlies (Windows). 22/09, 20/09, are the ones I tried with mGBA core updated to the newest version. I can’t open zip files using the core, it just returns to the menu when I try to. If I go back to the last stable build the zip files work again. Same thing happens with the Gambatte core.

The zip thing should hopefully be fixed now. We’ve been doing some work to try and get 7zip integration more complete (which means scanning for 7zipped ROMs, among other things) and it likely caused some temporary regressions in the archive handling in general. I think most of that’s finished now, though, so maybe give it another shot in a day or two.

Dunno about the mgba stuff. We’ll have to look into it.

I tried the zip files again and they’re all work fine now. Thanks. I also tried updating mGBA to 0.5.1 and trying the GB/GBC games with it. Still if I try to make a savestate it crashes and the SRAM saves aren’t being made. GBA games work fine. The saves work in standalone mGBA.

Kinda off-topic here but it concerns mGBA and I noticed that you mentioned playing GB and GBC games on it. How well does it handle GB and GBC games? Is it mature enough and with further development could it even be more accurate than Gambatte?
