Need help setting up mame 2010 in retroarch 1.2.2 windows

I don’t even know where to begin, all I can tell you is i load mame core than try to load content, pick rom, and it crashes and this is with any rom even ones that don’t need bios. Pls help.

Try the mame 2015 core (mame_libretro.dll). Works for me, besides newish games like metal slug 6.

I had a older retroarch ( 1.0.0.0) and the same roms set I hAve now and using the mame 2010 core i believe my set is mame 0.144 or 0.145, something like that, anyway all my roms worked with that version, but I hadn’t loaded it up in years and can’t remember what to do to get retroarch to recognize where the roms are at.

Here’s the error I get.

Can you play games like Metal Slug 6? Btw is there any way to play Metal Slug 6 with Mame 2015 Core?
