Neo Geo Color Bars

Running Geolith, I noticed something weird about the Neo Geo colors:

The dark colors are brighter than the standard colors. Is this how the Neo Geo actually looks or is this a bug? Can anyone test with MAME and FB Neo? The 240p Test Suite is free and available here: https://artemiourbina.itch.io/240p-test-suite

I asked the Geolith dev about it and he checked against his real NeoGeo hardware and it looks like MAME is doing it right. He was missing an inversion step in the bits. I assume he’ll correct it sometime soon.
