Nestopia

Thank you, my knowledge is limited to some python programs, so I can’t do it so easily, please help, tell me:

  • this link is the source code nestopia_libretto.so?
  • which program can be compiled?
  • how to compile for armv7?

The link is to the line you need to change, yes.

You just need to compile nestopia_libretro.so.

You need to either compile it on the target device or have a cross-compiling toolchain set up.

Thank you, very interesting, but nothing is clear.

I am running retroarch 1.22.2 and trying to use the nestopia core for emulating Nintendo Famicom Disk System. I can get it to load the game and the game starts. This issue I have is it tells me to please set side B. Which I know means I need to flip the disk. However nestopia and FCEumm cores are not exposing the disc controls. I know its suppossed to be under quick menu ->disc control but there is nothing. If I got into hotkeys and map a button to next disc, If I press that I get that the core doesnt support disc control. I get this for both nestopia AND FCEUmm. Any help here would be appreciated

If I got into hotkeys and map a button to next disc, If I press that I get that the core doesnt support disc control

BTW it’s the same for Mesen; no menu entry for Disc changing. The shortcuts don’t do anything if you have the automatic FDS option enabled, that inserts disk. This note is not found on the Nestopia documentation (presumably forgotten to add), but on Mesen:

The (FDS) Insert Next Disk and (FDS) Switch Disk Side inputs will NOT do anything while the ‘FDS: Automatically insert disks’ core option is enabled.
