New overlays in the works

I am porting an overlay pack I made for HyperLaunch to RA overlay format for 16:9, 16:10 and 4:3. Here is an existing thread over at HL forums http://www.hyperlaunch.net/forum/showth … l-Overlays. I am not sure where i will be making these available to this community yet but I will figure something out. Enjoy what we like to call over at HL, bezels…

Nintendo Entertainment System

Nintendo Famicom

Super Nintendo Entertainment System

Nintendo Super Famicom

Nintendo Virtual Boy

Nintendo Game Boy

Nintendo Game Boy Color

Nintendo Game Boy Advance

More soon!

Those look great, man! Thanks for sharing your work

I will be updating https://github.com/nosh01/retroarch-overlays with new overlays going forward. Currently there are 29 overlays available. All for 16x9 resolutions.

very cool, I’ll be using the gba overlay, thanks!

Are these to use in which version of Retroarch? console, Windows, mobile, etc? They look nice!! Are you also using any special shaders on them? If so which one are you using on each of them? Please share the names!! Thanks

They definitely work on Mac/Win/Lin and iOS/Android. They definitely don’t work on Wii (because it doesn’t support the ‘fullscreen’ option for overlays). Dunno if they work on PSP, PS3, 360, original Xbox, etc.

What happened to the pull request intent? The game boy overlays are pretty good.

Amazing work mate, those overlays should be bundled with retroarch, I’m only missing a Nintendo DS one.

I would be more than happy if my overlays where bundled with Retroarch. Thats up to the devs.

Have you sent a pull request?

Retroarch crashes whenever I select one of these overlays. Do I need to do something with my video resolution?

These are really great! Thanks for sharing. I would definitely second the suggestion to add these to the normal distribution.

What resolution are u using for the display to fit in the handheld “bezels”?

Are you sure it’s the overlay? Does the core crash when overlay is disabled? Which core are you using?

Wow thanks man, that’s awesome work
