New snes9x core?

Do you know about https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x ? Seems like they did some major update lately (it is tagged 1.54.1) and backported most of snes9x2010. I don’t know about having a fork on libretro’s github, but perhaps having a recipe in libretro-super would be good ? Also, i saw https://github.com/libretro/snes9x2010/commit/89f163bd81cdde566fb49f10fc58d8f52f6c1964 and was wondering if it was related ?

Hopefully they can continue to update this, Snes9x, the main branch I mean, has gone a long while without updates. Hopefully they’ll add overclock, by method of adding more scanlines to pseudo-overclock games. FCEUX uses this method to overclock the emulation and remove slowdown in games.

No, that’s for people trying to sell some Pi with Retroarch and cores onboard saying they’ve got a permission that was never given.

You mean the RetroN 5 ? That story didn’t get solved ?

Different would-be company.

Will this new version be available through the online updater?

There’s no new version. Our Snes9x has been up to date with mainline git forever.

I’ve found a bug in the current Snes9x core: when playing Top Gear 3000, there is a glitch in the car sprites. The Windows Libretro version available in the official Snes9x site doesn’t have this bug. I was aiming for an Android core without this glitch, does anyone have it? Thank you.
