The last version of nSide core (04/18/2018) failed to load content. Previous version works.
with a bit of investigation it seems nslide needs another bios file (program.rom). haven’t found one that work. Also it seems to look for this bios file in (my case since I use linux) ~/.local/share/higan and not the libretro system dir
EDIT: OK seems something is wrong. Some games will load but only gives a blackscreen, and others crash. but it seems to be a higan thing atm : https://gitlab.com/higan/higan/commit/8f61c267c5b36308a7babb608b381d9369599b02 seems that Byuu broke it in this release and started fixing it for 106.14
