Opentyrian

Are there any recommendation for running opentyrian on retroarch?

(project page: https://github.com/opentyrian/opentyrian)

tyrian was a dos games, so it should be playable with a dos core, but is there a core (I’m thinking somethin like openlara) for playing opentyrian natively? Or what would be the recommended way?

We’ve had some PoC ports of it in the past, but nothing that’s reached the point of good usability. I think your best bet is currently dosbox or installing the linux port via the RISC-V core (this one’s not widely available yet but should be soon).

Thank you for the feedback.

There are other “retro” or retro like games with “modern” ports/remakes, is there some discussion/wiki where to find more information? (Asking since you mentioned a Poc for opentyrian)

Opentyrian & Opentyrian2000 unfortunately it is not compatible with DOSBox PURE, it is a port and for Windows minimum is XP. Perhaps the only option to have it in RetroArch is to run it natively and use WindowCore.
