Parallel angrylion black bar on bottom of screen?

Hey everyone!

I’m not really sure how to explain this other than providing a screenshot but basically the problem is that when I use the parallel core with angrylion and VI Overlay set to unfiltered, it keeps this black bar at the bottom on any game I try. If I change any of the settings on the core, the bottom will then render a still image of what was previously on at that moment. This happens regardless if I use vulkan or GL. I am using the 1.7.7 stable build of retroarch but the issue has been happening since 1.7.1 if I remember correctly. The only way it will display correctly is by having the VI overlay set to filtered and hide overscan turned off, but any game I play runs slower which is why I prefer the unfiltered. I’m not sure if specs or other information are needed so please as if I missed anything.

Thanks in advance!!

IIRC, that’s part of updating Angrylion to the latest sources. The upstream version requires GL to do some of the cropping, while we eliminated the need for GL (making it fully software-rendered) at the cost of that cropping functionality.

Ah I see so I’m not the only one with this issue then? Also would this be an issue that will be fixed eventually?

Possibly, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for it.
