I don’t know if this is going to be relevant to you, but when I tried the updated Parallel-RDP core this morning, Perfect Dark crashed Retroarch right after the introduction logos ; the solution was to reset my latency settings (frame delay from 3 to 0 and disabling runahead feature, even though the core does not support it and disables it at boot). Maybe try that ?

And maybe try to delete your existing Parallel core options lines in retroarch-core-options.cfg.

I already had it set to 0 and Turned of Runahead

See my edited post. Try deleting your existing Parallel core options lines in retroarch-core-options.cfg.

Did that and Sadly still no Crashing

Did you set both “GFX plugin” and “RSP Plugin” to “Parallel” ?

Yes I did.

Made sure of that

I’m not sure if the extension it needs is available in Vulkan 1.0, which is what appears to be supported by your GPU/driver. I don’t see your GPU/driver listed in the log, so I’m guessing it’s intel integrated?

Is there up to date Driver that have the Extention.

I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050. Does that Help?

Yeah, I think a 1050 should handle it fine if you can hook that up.

How can I hook it up?

Dunno, just make sure it’s connected and active, I guess? Make sure you have the most up-to-date drivers from the vendor.

Okay. I might need to update the Drivers.

Just hope I find the Right Drivers.

11:30 here in Australia so try this Tommorow

I tried several games last night on my home laptop which has a 1050 and they all ran without any crashing or issue. I don’t know which version of Vulkan it has though. SM64, Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, and KI 2 all ran with no problem.

@DaveTheMan1985 My home laptop did just get a Windows update this week, so maybe the update contains the newest drivers that you need?

Is there a way getting that Latest Update for Offline instead of a Online Installer?

@DaveTheMan1985 It looks as if Nvidia and Intel both released driver updates within the past 7-10 days that may be of help. I went to KhronosGroups’s Github page (link below), and clicking on either Windows or Nvidia in their driver sectiontakes you to the repsective company’s page to download. Hope this helps.

Tried to Update but got this Error:

What does that mean and what do I have to do now?

Finally found the Right Installer and Updated the Drivers and now it works now.

1st Time I updated my Computer in 3 years

I just tried the new Parallel core on RetroArch 1.8.6 and I seem having the same problem that OP experienced. When using Vulkan drivers on RA, Parallel crashes it at whatever N64 game I boot, if I set GFX plugin and RSP plugins to Parallel. No problem with other combinations, for example Angrylion + CDX4. RA seems to recognize my GTX 1060 no problem and my GameReady drivers are updated (same with Windows10).

I must say I’m not confident at all with N64 emulation on RA - this is my first time tinkering about it - but I can tell the sound isn’t right either, as it changes pace - going from normal to slow to fast - and crackly at times.

Do you guys have any suggestion? Thanks in advance!
