Hi all, I was wondering if there’s some sort of magic settings people are using with the PCE Fast core to increase compatabity?
I have a lot of trouble with Hucard games showing only a black screen (CD games work fine). Most notably, Bonk’s Adventure doesn’t work for me, which is why I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing. Another example is Nuetopia.
I’ve had this problem on both Windows and iOS versions.
Replace your roms. Bonk and Neutopia work perfectly for me
Hmm, will try that then, thanks! I had assumed the files were ok because they worked in Magic Engine but I guess Mednafen is more picky.
Is there a big difference in compatability between mednafens fast and accurate cores? I assumed everyone asked for accuracy because their games didn’t work but it looks like my files were just bad.
There’s not a huge difference I’ve found; Popful Mail will glitch and freeze on cutscenes and Violent Soldier has a glitched line that shows up sometimes.
i think there are a couple of non-game-breaking / cosmetic bugs with some obscure-ish games…? I don’t think anything super-popular (if anything for PCE can be described as such) is affected.

You’re doing the right thing, Magic Eninge is ancient, haven’t been updated in years and belong in a museum or something.

It’s something to do with your romset. If you load the games in ootake it will automatically fix them for you, then they will work in RA after that.
