[PPSSPP 1.4.2] Images have a strange dithered effect

After updating the PPSSPP core to the latest version on the buildbot (actually since the 1.4.2 was announced), I noticed a strange dithering effect in the image, which didn’t happen before. Example:

The top image is for PPSSPP “1.0.1 git”, and the second one on “1.4.2”. Both are running on the same PC, with Retroarch 1.6.7 on Windows 10 x64. Tried resetting all PPSSPP settings, without luck.

Did someone else noticed it?

Yeah, i think it’s displaying color at a lower depth than it’s supposed to. We got confirmation of it earlier today and will be looking into it.

It seems the latest update (2018-02-22, 7f30ab1) fixed it:
