I know that this is an issue on the original PPSSPP emu end, but does anyone know why this keeps happening and has never been fixed for years?:
What’s exactly the issue? I couldn’t get it from the video.
The xbrz internal scaler or anything external shader of the like constantly flickers on the 2D textures. See when I bring that menu up, the background goes pixelated. When i remove the menu, the background gets shadered again. But during battles, it just constantly goes back and forth from shadered to pixelated back and forth. Does this on both core and standalone.
Oh, sorry. I was doing something stupid and the video wasn’t showing the issue properly. I can see it clearly now.
If you’re running the RetroArch core, could you maybe disable the internal xBRZ scaling and instead using a xBRZ shader, which is unaffected by the core? Otherwise, PPSSPP development is very active, so you could just open an issue here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues
Link your video and make sure to point that it happens on both standalone and RetroArch core.
already did that same day of the post. he responded and said it was an internal emulation issue so he marked it to be fixed
Dunno if proper upscaled texture caching is implemented PPSSPP, so if they are upscaled on-the-fly, minor delays are possible.
