When running Phantasy Star Portable with the PPSSPP core in RA I get two bugs that may or may not be related to each other. First, when I start the game I get this popup:
If I hit no, RA crashes, If I hit yes, the game runs fine, except that the chat bubbles have no text:
I tested it out with the PPSSPP stand alone and didn’t get either of these

The missing text in Phantasy Star I don’t think you can get around without using stand alone. Even with all the fonts needed in your system/PPSSPP/flash0/font folder, this was a bug back when the core was released. It must have been fixed in stand alone, but even the newer core with the WriteRest error isn’t up to date.
The core needs to be redone to be updated, so it could be a ways off from being up to date with stand alone again.
