PUAE Core Feature Request

So when using PUAE Core’s virtual keyboard if you press the A button to enter a key on the virtual keyboard and have the A button assigned to the fire key what happens is the fire button also gets sent as well as whatever you inputted input the virtual keyboard. This creates a problem for example in Ruff ‘n’ Tumble on the title screen I want to press O on the virtual keyboard for the options menu but because it also sends the fire button that means it doesn’t open options but instead starts the game proper. I need the options menu to enter the passwords for levels but I can’t with the controller because of this conflict. Here is what I’m proposing when the virtual keyboard is open disable all other inputs to the game expect from the virtual keyboard until the virtual keyboard is closed.

How exactly is this possible, since never happened here and still does not, because I have specifically made the virtual keyboard from the beginning so that having it open will not send joystick input.

Edit: Ok, so you must have done the thing that the sublabel specifically warns about, so I’m not going to change the behavior.

Edit2: Or maybe it still could block only joystick instead of all non-keyboards, since those joystick mappings were added later on. But still why even bother editing these that way…
