Hey guys i downloaded the px68k core and im not getting any gamepad or keyboard input. On the retroarch menu dont see any controls option. NOthing. Any help?
update your retroarch with latest nightly, or re-select you input/controls
Everything works with all cores that im using. only that one (Px68k). Im guessing that it has to be with the latest core version hosted in th buildbot. I remember using the first version when it launched and it worked. I updated it today to give it another go setting it up and a lot of previous options available are gone.
I think there is something wrong with the latest core as well. I just updated to the latest and no controls, going back to an older backup of the core made it work again.
This is using the stable 1.6.7 release and not a nightly build.
can i have a copy of that backup buddy?
Sure thing, sent you a PM.
px68k last commit was 25 days ago…
And problem solved… Thank you very much.
Yeah, i checked the github page. I hope it gets fixed
Glad it worked for you.
just retested latest core commit, nothing is wrong with it…
Maybe it’s a nightly build vs the older stable release. Ill see what happens with the nightly.
Edit:
Ok updating the exe to the nightly and the updated core works so it is the retroarch.exe from the 1.6.7 stable release that it doesn’t like.
wow good to know. ill proceed to do the same. Thanks
It’s caused by the new joy2key system.
When a game is running you can go to quickmenu “Controls” and if you set player1 controller to keyboard you can then map a keyboard key to a gamepad button (and save a remap file).
Same update happened for Dosbox or BlueMsx and Retroarch must be updated along with the cores.
