Regarding the upcoming Higan core

Setting it to 256x224 with the blurring core option is currently the best one-size-fits-all solution. It degrades high-res stuff a little bit, but not too bad, and shaders look like one would expect.

i wonder, is setting 512x224 actually rescales the image? or just enables that resolution for games that uses it. i know RPM uses 512x448

I believe it’s a true decimation. If you use the blur setting, I think it does that part before the decimation, so it’s a less destructive process.

My problem with the Higan core is that rewind crackles and is way too slow. Any other SNES core’s rewind works perfectly fine!
