Reicast oit in linux mint

I use RetroArch on Android and in Linux Mint 18.3 64-bit. I would like to try the reicast-oit core but it doesn’t show up on the PPA and the Core Updater doesn’t seem to save the files it downloads. Not sure if my regular reicast core is up to date either, but I think not because the analog triggers on my Dual Shock 4 aren’t handled as analog.

I am using an 8th gen intel i5 w/ 8gb ram and an nVidia mx150 GPU. I usually use the Intel GPU though, for battery and heat issues, since Bumblebee refuses to switch GPUs so I have to reboot.

Any advice?

The core updater problem is because your libretro/core directory isn’t user-writeable (this is the default when installing from the PPA because you’re expected to use the package manager to install cores).

If you change it to somewhere you have write perms, it should be able to download them properly.
