Hello People!
Yesterday I downloaded the nightly Reicast Core and I have to announce you that the current core CRASHES Retroarch in windows.
In case someone is trying to make it run ,… is not your system , is the core.
FYI.

Only to inform you that the core has been updated 11-1-2016 and now it works with the latest RA.
Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to let us know.
I updated to latest nighties, both RA and Reicast core, it still crashes for me, and gives a weird error in Windows, like this: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: retroarch.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 00000000 Fault Module Name: StackHash_f309 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: PCH_07_FROM_ntdll+0x0000000000090C6A
Is there something you’ve done that Reicast is working there?
Seems it wasn’t actually fixed on Windows: https://github.com/libretro/reicast-emulator/issues/39#issuecomment-258614615
Thanks man, I thought it was something in my end.
Maybe it can help.
It works perfect for me in windows10 but I have two rigs, one i7 with intel HD graphic chip (no graphic card) and another quad core with nvidia graphic card GTX 660. The emulator works perfect in the i7 and continues crashing in the nvidia rig… Maybe a driver related issue?
Regards!
Same here, only crashes on my GTX 660 machine, which is the one I want to use it on.
Crashes with Nvidia too (GTX 770) on win7 x64.
Your crash is win10 + Nvidia?
yes, Windows 10 x64, i5 and Nvidia GTX 660
Where Can I Download older Cores for Windows x64 ?
Because I Downloaded 1.3.6 Stable win x86-64 and no cores where included, and the online updater obviously downloads the latest core which crashes
Sorry for this retarded question, would be great if somebody could help me out. thanks
thanks kazuya, one request though: could you upload the file on another filehost.
i cant download anything from that host on firefox, chrome, internet explorer or jdownloader2. i havent figured out a solution yet
Running Windows 10 x64 and GTX 970 same problem
With this older build, dreamcast is working again, thanks to you man, I`ll make some backups for core updates from now on to ensure that everything that works now will keep working later.
Can anyone try going through Shenmue 1 - CD 1 intro and go into gameplay? Retroarch just crashes before the I get into gameplay here.
Right before getting into gameplay, RA crashes and windows gives me this:
roblem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: retroarch.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 00000000 Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll
Thanks for the older build, Dreamcast working again for me. Tried Shenmue, got exactly the same crash after the intro
whats wrong with the newer reicast build? only the older version loads and don’t crash!
I too was having Reicast crash with the latest core build. The solution was to download the latest Retroarch Nightly build (12-08) and it works with latest Reicast build. Problem solved.
Also the latest Reicast build adds these two config options:
reicast_volume_modifier_mode = “disabled” reicast_framerate = “normal”
