RetroArch iOS release (v1.0.0.1)

Most likely, they are the same format, so just try copying your ePSXe memory card file to whatever directory RetroArch saves to and rename it.

You probably are starting the game without a real BIOS. If you get a message at the start (ā€˜HLE BIOS, expect bugs!’) - then you need to put BIOS files inside the system directory.

No there isn’t ā€˜another solution’ - it is the fact that you’re running it with a HLE BIOS that the game doesn’t work correctly.

That, or your ISO is bad.

thamk you, solved the problem, the iso was bad

Just pushed the newest version to our Cydia repo (themaister.net) - RetroArch iOS 0.9.9.2.

I gave Zodttd an email as well containing our newest version - so that will be up there soon as well I hope.

The main big thing about this new version is some under-the-hood improvements, a ā€˜global’ config option so that you don’t have to ā€˜reconfigure’ controls or settings all the time if you just want to have the same settings shared across all cores, and the main event - a new core - MAME 2003 [0.78].

I keep seeing people say touch doesn’t work with DeSmuME core.

Rgui -> core options -> pointer mode : change from ā€œrelativeā€ to ā€œabsoluteā€.
I was aware that I could use touch. What I meant was that it was not perfect. At least, when I tried to use it to navigate in Super Mario 64 DS, I couldn’t simultaneously use the d-pad with pointer mode on absolute… Regardless, it’s a minor issue compared to the progress which has been made.
Ahh I see. Not just tapping menus, but actually having to use it to not die in game is not perfect. I see what you mean. Sorry, I misunderstood.

I also agree how the progress and performance in general has been amazing.

I’ve been getting a 404 on the update for the last half hour. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was me, or something I didn’t read, but I figured I’d heads up.

Cydia repo should be fixed now - sorry for the inconvenience earlier.

Now I can get to bed and get a few hours sleep before work commences.

Will there be a multiplayer support in near future? Would be so nice to play tekken3 on ipad vs friends with ps3 controllers.

i don’t think that’s possible (but yes, i still tried :stuck_out_tongue: )

You seem to be doing a great job with quick updates for this app, and it’s truly very capable. I see other users have pointed out my problem in this topic, but I was just wondering if there are plans to ever resolve it.

I’m wondering about the Dualshock analog support for the PSX emulation. I understand that it isn’t currently supported, but do you have any plans to resolve this at any point in the future? Or is this something you are content with leaving out? Not trying to pester you, I am merely wondering.

No problem at all… Hope you at least had a good sleep and stress-free workday.

Notes on this release: Multitasking works flawlessly now and with auto-save states on exit enabled, I couldn’t be happier!

Also, Thanks again to everyone responsible for all your hard work.

Just FYI the zodd version gives an error. Cannot create… Just thought you would like to know.

You can’t even install it?

Guess I’ll get on it with hunterk again.

You can’t even install it?

Guess I’ll get on it with hunterk again tomorrow - sigh.

For now - use our repo to get it early - themaister.net/cydia.

Had the same issue when updating from your repo. Uninstalled the old one and tried again and it was fine.

I uploaded a new package to the same name/location as the last one, so zodttd should be able to grab it from the same link. I went through the exact same steps as the first bundle, but it ended up with a different hash and slightly different filesize. I’m not really sure where the variation is coming from…

I will try again later and let you guys know. I already had it from your repo, I just wanted to test zodd. I did uninstall before trying:) I am just looking for excuses to help with my meager qualifications;)

@kunzi We definitely appreciate the report. I’ve been packaging software for several years now, and I often don’t know if a package is broken unless/until someone tells me. I’ve had some go broken for what I assume has been several months just because no one mentioned it.
