@rex Not likely. Cheat support is generally very emulator-specific and there doesn’t seem to be any way to effectively abstract it in a core/platform-agnostic way.
I would love to have a core-specific setting for resolution that would save, similar to the controls etc.
Have you tried changing the setting, quitting the emulator and going back? Some emulators save that way for some reason.
Isn’t cheat support just modifying RAM values?

I second that! C.

I third that.
Any chance of adding custom palette support for nestopia? It has fds support and better fds sound emulation than any other wii nes emulators. Thanks!
i often have a problem with retroarch garbling up its image while changing resolution. i think it most often happens after switching cores. you cant really see anything anymore and have to quit retroarch. and from that point on, everything seems to be in slowmotion, the normal wii menu and everything is just bugging up completely.
why does that happen?
Hell if I know - when dealing with an open source toolchain/SDK that the main developers no longer give a damn about, the sky is the limit.
Which is why it would have been a good idea if we had the option of using the official SDK instead of relying on an abandoned ‘open source’ toolchain/SDK like this - at least the former works as expected 99.99% of the time.
a couple users have reported this bug but none of us can reproduce it. just don’t use the resolution switching: its buggy and none of us can fix it if we can’t cause it.
I honestly think it might be an IOS issue but good luck fixing that.

I quadruple that!
Anyway something new, standalone Genesis Plus GX 1.74 is out and it has graciously added support for .ogg files. Can i hope that this improvement also finds its’ way on next respective GPGX RA core as well, seeing that it is based on GPGX 1.74 itself? Or will it be akin to standalone WiiMednafen and WiiMednafen PCE fast core (former does, latter does not support .ogg)?
A simple yes or no is enough, thank you in advance.
I don’t like compiling in these external dependencies.
I won’t say yes or no on this - it remains to be seen. I prefer people stick to clean dumps/rips instead of compressing audio in whatever format catches their fancy.

can not wait for the MAME 0.78 Gamecube port.

I suspect that bug might have something to do with the fact that Retroarch loads and unloads cores while still in low resolution mode. No other application does this, as they all reset to regular resolution when entering menus, Nintendo’s VC, Snes9xGX, and the others. Proposed solution would be to reset to regular resolution when using RGUI.
He he, you are not the only one.

Doesn’t happen launching the app from HBC. It’s also in rare instances as most users aren’t able to reproduce this, lord knows wtf is going on with that.
Have some GC user made fba_neo core to work in this last release? I have tried several bios and do not work the game that worked in the last version (Last Resort). I downloaded it from the french site mentioned before and no results.

It does happen when launching from HBC. From the several times it’s occurred to me within a few days I was able to isolate a constant in how and why it happens. For me it’s always happened after loading another core when in low resolution mode.
Just wondering if there was any update on the working roms on the MAME core like the early Midway games, NBA Jam etc.? Are there any others that work better than on the FBA core, or did not work at all on the FBA core? Really looking forward to this new core
